Tom Van Kempen, the senior pastor of the Champion Center of Las Vegas communicates God’vs truth through preaching, teaching and even coaching. His creativity blends a passion for the word of God that makes every message memorable and life changing.
Pastor Tom is featured on Champion TV, a weekly television program seen throughout the greater Las Vegas area featuring his messages. He has also written two devotional books, Get in the Game and Team Dream, and is also the executive producer of Champions Live, a worship CD featuring original music reflecting the cultural diversity of the church.
Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Pastor Tom felt a call to ministry at an early age. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Evangel College. His business expertise has helped him to lead The Champion Center’s 100+ employees along with Mountain View Christian Schools’ 725 students from preschool through 12th grade.
He has been married to Robin for 24 years. They have three sons, a daughter, and two very cute dogs. (The kids are cute too.) When Tom has free time, he loves to read, travel, coach his kids, and play basketball!
Robin Van Kempen is involved in many ministries at the Champion Center. She is the Women’s Ministries Pastor and oversees Children’s Ministries. She is on the creative team that plans different elements of each church service. She also can be seen on Champion TV introducing her husband’s messages. She loves shopping, baking, travel, and doing creative projects.
Giloh (Geh-Low) currently serves as Worship Leader for the Champion Center of Las Vegas. Giloh holds a B.A. in music and is a versitile multi-instumentalist playing piano, organ, guitar, bass, drums, and trumpet. Giloh has international songwriting and production success including a Grammy nomination for the 1994 Gospel CD “Motown Comes Home”. Recently produced “Light In The Darkness” Integrity Music with Freddy Rodriguez. “I leave every Sunday with a new song from the message that was preached. I pray that God never removes that cup of creativity from my life.”

Jeremy Bosma was born and raised in Fargo, ND. He went to college in Fayetteville, NC alongside with The Forerunner School of Ministry with Evangelist Pat Schatzline. He graduated and later hired on full time for Mercy Seat Ministries, Inc. in 2004 traveling across the United States.In 2006, Jeremy accepted the junior high position at Mountain View Assembly of God, now known as The Champion Center. In 2007 he accepted the High School position, now known as United Student Ministries. He enjoys multi-media, golf, and is married to his beautiful wife, Lindsey Bosma.
Lindsey Bosma has a contagious passion for Jesus Christ and expanding His kingdom. A hunger to serve has directed and greatly impacted Lindsey’s life journey. In June of 2007 Lindsey became a full-time staff member at the Champion Center, overseeing the College Ministry and Small Groups. She’s passionate about preaching the Word of God in an encouraging and impacting way to people of all ages. She is a mentor to many young girls in the youth ministry. Lindsey is looking forward to what God has for the people of the Champion Center and the city of Las Vegas.
Helen Goree has hugged people in more than 40 countries. She has led mission’s teams to distribute the Book of Hope, administer medical needs, build churches and help in orphanages. She and her husband, Robert have two children, four grandchildren and have been married and in full time ministry for 47 years! She is an active grandma for God!
Dr. Crystal Van Kempen-McClanahan is the Superintendent of Mountain View Christian Schools, and the Executive Vice Chairperson of The Champion Center. She has a doctorate in Educational Leadership. She enjoys coaching, fitness, travel, and hanging out with her family. One of her greatest achievements is marrying her husband Paul, an accomplished chef and personal travel guide.
