Study of Galatians with John Killam | Sundays 9:30am in Room 108

Join John and Jeanie Killam as they dive into God’s Word each week. Study of Galatians is an exceptional way to further your knowledge of the Bible, substantially grow your relationship with Jesus Christ, and create lasting friendships with other Christians. Please bring your bible and a notebook to this wonderful study.

John Killam is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, and has been in ministry with several churches over the last 25 years.  He and his wife, Jeanie, have been members of the Champion Center for the last 6 years.  They have four great children, two of whom graduated from MVCS and are now attending Assemblies of God colleges, and two of whom are currently attending MVCS.    John has worked in several areas of ministry during his adult life, including being an interim senior pastor on two different occasions, being a worship leader for several years, and pioneering a campus ministry to international students at UNLV, which he led for eight years.   He currently leads two Bible studies at the Champion Center, including one for young adults on Wednesday nights.  He also oversees a weekly intercessory prayer meeting on Saturday evenings.

John’s ministry has always centered around a passionate and disciplined devotional life with the Lord Jesus.  He also has a great heart for corporate prayer for the nations of the world, for personal evangelism in the life of the believer, and for miracles to be experienced by the church of Jesus Christ today.

In Risk, men are challenged to go to the next level in their faith – say “goodbye” to predictability, your comfort zone, playing it safe – and “hello” to a radical trust in Jesus Christ. This book and workbook set is the first in the God’s Man Series and will help men to experience a deep faith.

Everyone wants to know that their time on earth has some significance. We all want to make a difference.These are difficult days in our world’s history. Billions of people are poor, millions go hungry or thirsty every day. Disease claims thousands of lives daily. But you and I have been given an opportunity to make a big difference.  What if we did? What if we rocked the world with hope? Infiltrated all corners with God’s love and life? We are created by a great God to do great works. He invites us to outlive our lives, not just in heaven, but here on earth. What if you lived in such a way that your death is just the beginning of your life?

Young Adults Bible Study | Wednesdays 7:00pm in Room 203

Join other young adults as they study the Bible, prayer together, discuss important topics, and develop meaningful friendships with Christians their age. This Bible Study is led by John and Jeanie Killam. We also look forward to social events and worship nights in the near future.

RESTORE-ation with Julie Dinsmore | Wednesdays 6:30pm in Room 113

Pretending it didn’t happen leads to a life of anger and deceit. Hoping it didn’t cause any damage leads to hopelessness and fear.  Gutting it out through will-power, prayer, or bible study alone leads to exhaustion and cynicism. There has to be a better way. God invites us to face the damage from His perspective and learn to struggle through it with Him by our side until our wounded heart melts into trust. RESTOREation is an honest and hopeful journey …through the damage of childhood sexual abuse …into the healing and restoration God has provided.
